Notes:
  1. The records database contains the best lifts from the powerlifting meets at Gay Games starting with Amsterdam in 1998. These are not "official" in that the Federation of Gay Games does not maintain any sports records and currently recognize any gay/lesbian powerlifting organization, whose role would include the maintenance of those records.
  2. Prior to the Amsterdam Gay Games in 1998, the Gay Games Powerlifting competitions were not held under international rules. No results from Gay Games prior to 1998 will be included in these records.
  3. The Sydney Gay Games in 2002 marked the first time that powerlifting at the Gay Games was a fully IPF-sanctioned meet.
  4. Masters (age) categories were not used in Amsterdam. Results from Amsterdam were applied to the "Open" category for the weight class indicated.
  5. For consistency between Gay Games, only results from lifters who compete in the "Full Meet" are included. There was a "Bench Only" category in Amsterdam and Chicago allowed single lift entries, but Sydney allowed only "Full Meet" entries.

Save Powerlifting in the 2014 Gay Games

In their bid for the 2014 Gay Games, Boston did NOT include Powerlifting. Please let the Federation of Gay Games and PrideSport Boston know that we want to compete in 2014.
