- Cologne is hosting the Gay Games in 2010 - July 31 - August 7. Powerlifting is a core sport for the Gay Games.

- The cities bidding for the 2014 Gay Games are Boston (which is not including PowerLifting in their sports program), Cleveland, and Washington, DC
